Dyeing FeathersI have alot of white long tails feathers which I want to colour. Is this possible without totally damaging the texture of the feather?
Help!

Will dyeing them hide them sufficiently, wouldn't you be better off shaving or waxing

you look lovely - my bum has spread with age but I reckon I'm much more comfy to cuddle now
(not that any one would cuddle my bum but it all goes on evenly )

Nah, your bum doesn't look big..........I can't see it for the feathers!
Whereas, whenever anyone talks about their being a big but holding them back I have to check to make sure I haven't sat on 'em.

On a more serious note, it might be worth checking out some of the fly fishing websites as they use dyed feathers in making flys.

Go on, can we have the after the heavy rain picture... Surely they cannot stay that beautifully white while pottering through mud?

No they don't - but they do wash up nicely
I just can't bring myself to keep them in the traditional high pens so they free range
