East Anglia and Suffolk downsizers: help request

hi peeps,
wonder if anyone can help me out with a bit of publicity?
I'm running an Autumn Wild Foods weekend at the Orchard Campsite, Wickham Market in Suffolk, 19th - 21 September 2008 and could do with getting the word out: I have a couple of firm bookings and would love to get another 4 by end of June. Can you help by adding a link to the event to your website or blog? or suggest where on the web I could advertise it? I'm also on the hunt for local food suppliers that I can buy in provisions from for the weekend. Anyone here who has eggs, bread or meat or home grown veg they'd be interested in supplying please get in touch!
thanks! full details here:

Perhaps it is worth ringing or emailing the local radio stations, such as BBC Radio Norfolk and whatever the similar ones are in Suffolk to see if you can advertise for free there?

Also, the local councils might be interested in what you are doing and can include you in the "what's on" bit of their websites or published materials?

Contact the local papers as well.

hmm, I'm doing local listings in the papers, but so many meeja outlets want you to advertise first.... and bbc radio stations march to their own drum beat... Confused But I do have the ear of a community radio station presenter - she's very helpful. Very Happy
thanks for the suggestion tho Snee.... not going to attempt your screenname spelling before a coffee!

When you call the beeb - offer to take them out Smile Radio Journalists will do almost anything to get out of the office (well I did Smile ) You could lay it on thick about 'secret locations' and that will intrigue them more.

Or ring and offer your 'expert' opinion on a 'people are going out and gathering wild food and as a public service broadcaster you should cover how they can do it safely' or likewise, but with a 'in these times of rising fuel costs, and food costs, and wanting to cut the budget and get away from processed foods without paying out to eat air freighted salads...ditto as before'.

Tell them the story, and let them see how little work it is. Be prepared to get the 'summer intern' (actually that's a good way to get it on, as they are likely to be looking for things to send the volunteers to do, lol).
