Depends how long it was that high for and how developed the eggs were ... the older they are the more robust they are, within limits. But it's not good news I'm afraid . How far along were they?

I predict that they'll be fine.

Leave it on for a few days whilst you collect some more eggs and then candle and see whether they have continued developing post-day 10. How many were in there? So frustrating .
ETA: Hope that Bodger is right. Fingers crossed.

I'm confident, because I had a minor fluctuation with some Sassos that i was hatching a couple of weeks ago. The fluctuation was at least on a par with the one that you describe and I still had a useful hatch.

Put the torch behind a bit of card with a hole about 1 or 1.5 cm across, that should help focus the beam a bit. I stick mine in a shoe box, propped up a bit.

You did say there is a thermostat, right? That's supposed to keep the temperature to what it's set to.

A cardboard box with an egg shaped hole cut in it. Bare with this, things do get better.
But not much better, here's the same hole with an egg placed on it.
My hand with a torch When the lights go out in a few minutes, I'll be shining the torch up through the egg.
This is how a clear or empty egg appears.
Thank goodness, I had four eggs that were developing into chicks. I could have done with a few more that looked like this.
