I cant just keep making jam with fruit - Ill have thousands of jars. I thought about freezing small quantities so i can have them on top of yogurt or ice cream.....

Bottle/Rumtopf with vodka.

If you open freeze them on trays and bag later, you can use as many or few as you wish. I think they'll go mushy though, like strawberries. Bottled cherries are yummy and I believe you can make cherry pickle
wellington womble

I boiled them in sugar one year and bottled them. And then made Black Forest gateaux far too often ( I think they were morello, though. I don't see why you couldn't in any case, mind)

if you make wine remove the stones is the first job unless you like wine that tastes of cyanide.it isnt enough to be very toxic but it ruins the flavor. jamanda

I got English cherries last week. Must try to get to the farmers market soon, as they have cherries, and hopefully apricots too. tahir

I make cherry brandy. Last years, made with cultivated, rather than wild cherries, as I have lost access to them, was quite to my taste. Very Happy wellington womble

Ooh, could you make cherry syrup and have cherryade!

Inhabe just tried to strim a path to my cherries, but the strimmer has defeated me. I must be doing something wrong.
