First cuckoo

Heard and saw the first cuckoo of the year this morning. It's call was so loud I though it was some-one messing around then I saw it fly out of a tree being mobbed by a small bird. It obviously wasn't welcome in that nest. And it carried on cuckooing as it flew. It's only the second time I have ever seen a cuckoo so I was well chuffed Very Happy .

I was in the garden after dark tonight when I could hear noises next door. Got a torch and found 2 large hedgehogs. Must almost be time to let Clyde go Crying or Very sad

How lovely. Rosie Very Happy I didn't hear one at all last year ! I have only seen a few sightings, but do usually hear them.
