Ooooo lucky you.

What type of pots should we be planting right now? We always get wire worm here and so we're going to try some of those 'sacks'. Any tips?

We had asparagus last night, but from the farm shop. It just popped up last week. Really nice on buttered toast.

We put the seed spuds in end of Jan.
Large black pots with some muck in the bottom, just keep topping up.
This year we grew Swift and Cherie.

You can get large amounts of main crop potatoes growing then in the same way as you have gardening-girl. You can use old tyres or sacks and just keep adding tyres or rolling up the sack as they grow, and plenty of time to do this- we are still getting frosts up here so I would not be starting, but in a poly tunnel-anytime is right!

We've grown potatoes in sacks, bags for life, old recycling buckets and tyres, we've never been disappointed with the results. I'd say just make sure they don't get too dry.

Oh I love Asparagus but although back off the market for various reasons we still hope to sell and move eventually..... I take it growbags/pots just is a no go?????
