First time ferretingJust been ferreting for the first time.
A couple of weeks ago, just after I moved in, a man from the village showed up to guage what I thought of ferreting and if he could still use my fields, thinking I wouldn't approve.
Having seen the ammount of tracks in the snow and the tunnels in the old straw pile in the barn, I said fine if he left me a rabbit.
This morning he came round to take me ferreting and I've got rabbit jointed waiting for tea and bits in the stock pot.
The first produce from my land.
He also gave me a really good photo he'd taken of the cottage a few years ago.

Lots more I should think.
I'll leave the ferret keeping to others more experienced than me, although I'm sure he'll be back if only to quiz me again. I've been getting lots of people walk the footpath and call in just to see who the newcomer is.......and most already know quite alot about me from others.
