thanks gil but i was really wondering about the rivers and canals for course fish. ive tried to look on google but i cant find an exact opening and closing date. | ||

At a guess, close season for coarse fishing is march 16th to june 16th. | ||

There's no close season on canals and still waters apparently. | ||

Oh yeah, just googled that. Seems like it was removed around 2001 after studeis showed no adverse impact on stocks. |

You guessed right, the glorious 16th, I used to fish it what ever, but don't seem to have the time any more. |

thanks very much. so ill have to wait until june 16th before i can fish on the thames  . found this which seems to explain it all.
