Flame Gun

How effective are these things against weeds? Does it take a lot of roasting to be effective?

They're not very effective as they can't kill the root system. They're also expensive to run.

I was thinking to see if it will run on glycerol. We've got gallons of it.

Not my personal experience, but a friend of mine uses a white line painting gun thingy, rather than the weed burning tool, as it is more effective.

Don't know how easy they are to come across tho.

I think it is a significantly lighter fraction than diesel. I've tried it on bio-diesel without much success. Ty Gwyn

Heating oil and a drop of engine oil equals diesel,my butties Daihatsu run well on it for years.
