flat duck = bl**dy furiousi went into work today to pick up some chicks and while i was there though i would say hello to my ducks and geese. i went around the corner and saw them on the pond....but only six not seven. then manager, fellow worker and myself noticed a fence panel had been knocked over. lifted it up and there she was flat as a pancake. cue guilty feeling manager, shuffling co-worker and my chin on the floor.
a few minutes earlier i had been in the barn with some public. a father and two small children. me being me i showed the children the chicks. Dad however couldn't wait to leave. seems he had spent the last hour going into places that were fenced off and was leaning over the wall next to the fence looking at the ducks and geese. while we were collecting the chicks it looks like he had tried to push the panel out to get to the poultry and squashed one of the ducks
why can't people realise if a gate is blocked it's blocked for a reason. also if he had said something straight away therewas a chance the duck may have lived (unlikely but even so). i am so so so cross

'Eh, you were lucky.....'
A couple of years ago, locally, a bull was picked up and smashed against a stone wall in a bit of a breeze and had to be destroyed.
