Flowers for Foragers? Our living room is currently graced by a bunch of flowers. Scabious, Queen Annes lace, ox-eye daisy and ragwort. A lovely thing really.
Common weeds the lot of them. Am I alone in gathering such things (in small quantities) to brighten the place up?

Not alone at all, I collect small bouquets of wild flowers all the time.

I find the young leaves of the ox-eye daisy rather tasty - good in salads.

Not alone Cab, the verges are looking beautiful at the moment.

Ooooh. Please don't pick harebells. They are dwindling rapidly and need to be able to set their seed.

Don't worry Jamanda, I appreciate some things are for admiring and not picking. My Dad's been a botanist (not by profession, but a passion) all his life, so I learnt quite young what was OK and not OK to pick.
