Went on the course this week. Great for beginners as he really starts from the basics. Picked up quite a few tips. The apiary visit was very interesting esp. different strains of bees. He encouraged everybody to have a try and for many people, this was the first time they had handled bees. Only 8ish people per session because of the hands-on.

Well worth travelling if you can get a place or create enough demand so that the course is run again!

If you're up this way, it's worth keeping an eye on The Scottish Beekeeper (magazine of the Scottish Beekeeping Association).
