Freezing Runner Beans.We don`t usually, but we have LOTS. Best method? So they don`t come out as mush,

Top & tail, Cut into 2 inch bits.
Put pot on to boil, when boiling, chuck beans in, allow to come back to boil, then remove into collander, dunk in cold water.
Freeze.
Works for me.

I have just done tons of beetroot, (pickled in jars) and French beans. I was going to do the shallots for pickled onions, but Im fagged now.

i have dried runners but only eaten the beans rather than soaked and cooked the pods as well.
i might experiment
