FROST!!First frost here last Wednesday and this morning I had to scrape the ice off the car. There is snow on the hills too. Summer doesn't last long here...
I must dig out the old max/min thermometer.

Frosts are autumnal. Winters are composed of wind driven cold rain.

There was a frost here one morning last week, but I forgot to note down when it was.

Hehehe. Winters on the West Coast are actually composed of wind driven cold rain. We do have snow at times, of course, but it comes and goes. This morning the peaks were white and frost is coming.
Changing to spiked tyres this early is out of the question, however. I'm going to take my chance tomorrow morning. They say frost over night but + 2 C when I leave home.
Feels a bit like driving on eggs. Very carefully.

I'm taking it as a sign that we should be out there picking sloes.
