Blimey! Didn't realise that. Which website are you looking at? I've given up on Metcheck and Accuweather - they differ so much.
That was the from the MetOffice, http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/observation/gcn8t1p3y
I give up with their predictions though, I think it was meant to be 4 or 5 but ended up about -1 here.
Sean, our clematis is also flowering but it's new growth has been frosted.

For once I get to feel smug that we're warmer than you in the spring....
(only to celebrate our warmth, not your misfortune! My sympathies)

We are getting bad frosts here at the moment which have damaged my newly planted out squashes (we had been getting days up to 27 degrees, I thought I was safe). I am not sure if they will make it. Not as disastrous as https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/apr/28/french-winemakers-candles-heaters-helicopters-save-vines-frost-bordeaux-champagne

I thought camellias often got damaged by frost and rain, and have always regarded them as tender.
I think we have probably had frost. Only one of my potatoes had showed its head, so I covered it in soil. Am hoping the things in the greenhouse are all right, and that the root crops, which were finally thinking about it, will have survived. The weather is supposed to warm up for the weekend I think.

I think it's going to be a harsh year for growers, a lot of crops have been sown around here and we've had virtually no rain for weeks.
I keep noticing stuff that's been frosted, even blackberry plants have been damaged.

Although we had frost, it doesn't seem to have done much damage. Some of the quince blossom just caught it, but not to much, and the apple blossom seems all right. The dry weather has been a bit problematical, but I have been watering the root vegetable seeds, and although they are being slow, they are coming up. Most of the crops round here are winter sown, so they came up well, the oil seed rape is in flower, and the cereals seem to be growing, although probably rather slowly. The grass seems all right and the cattle are out in the fields again.
