Giant puffball

Just spotted a small rather battered-looking giant puffball in our local churchyard. Which quite surprised me!

I think of giant puffballs as a field fungus that is usually seen in the countryside, so seeing one at the foot of a yew tree in an urban churchyard did surprise me. If churchyards are reknowned for teeming with puffballs, I apologise for my ignorance in never noticing one before Wink .
Treacodactyl

I tend to think of them as frequenting places close to humans as that's where I've found them. I found several around the veg beds at Key gardens.
