Glastonbury Traders ApplicationI was thinking in particular about Sally, based on the comments I had about my hat (knitted from one of Sal's kits) at last year's fest, from old and young, but there are others out there who might be interested too.
Glastonbury 2010 Traders
Applications are to be in by December.
| Quote: | | Each stall is costed individually, based on the location of the site, the type of organisation, the number of staff, the size of stall, the products being sold etc etc. There will be some 175,000 people on site at the busiest, with the public arriving from Wednesday morning onwards and most staying 'til Monday morning. So there will be plenty of chance to trade. |

hmm, tempting, will have to see if I can summon up enough stock to make a stall worthwhile.

You've got until next June to do that

Why not share and have a Downsizer branded stall?

They seem very loath to tell you what it will cost. Unless I'm missing something obvious.

I asked them for a breakdown of cost for 2008 and it was roughly £400 with each person working on the stall having to pay full ticket price on top

Full ticket price is about £200 isn't it? You've got to reckon on selling a shed load of stuff for that to work then.

Which is precisely why I didn't bother and why I guess you see more and more burger van type 'stalls' There were three of us selling handmade stuff and we'd have had to sell over a grands worth of stuff just to break even. Of course it may be different now and they may have a sliding scale which starts very low for the kind of traders we are - don't think so though.

ok, have filled out the form, worst they can do is say no, and worst it can be if they say yes is too expensive to take them up on- will keep you posted I did point out how very small scale we are- will be intersting to see what they come back with

£185 a ticket, and the cost of stall depends on the business, there is no set price. The example they give is that a burger van type stall is £1000 a day (or thereabouts) and a wood-turning stand offering demonstrations/workshops is free, so it all depends on what you do and how you do it.
Actually, I thought there were less burger van type stalls there last year than of the year before, or perhaps I've just learnt to zone them out to avoid having a rant

Excellent
I'll happily work a few hours for you over the period, and I already have a ticket

I was actually planning on applying for a spot in the green field this year, haven't been for nearly 20 years but teenage daughter would be very keen to come and help.
