Now find a solution for the tonnes of plastic they will leave behind...

Well, yes, there will be waste, but everything has a cost. Glastonbury has raised millions of pounds for Greenpeace over the years, and they are always heavily involved in the planning for things like sewerage, litter and the clean up.
Greenpeace, whilst hardly my favourite pressure group, and Glastonbury have been intrinsically linked for many years, and it's a much greener gathering than most.

The festival recycled just over 50% of its waste the last time it was on - 2005

That's good - probably much more than most events up and down the country. Let's hope they achieve more this year.

Yeah, not sure about this 'don't bring your own loo roll', think I might have to still bring one roll (and ours are always recycled anyhoo), just in case...we'll see.
At Glastonbury, where there's one bin, there's usually three of four, all well marked up, for different kinds of waste, and apparently they're hoping to do even more this year.
Only 1 month to go!!! Woohoooo
Have you seen this site, btw: http://www.agreenerfestival.com
