Gmail problem?

I cannot access gmail today. The browser just sits there not connecting to it. Is it just me, or is the site having trouble?

If it is me, what can I do to sort it?

It's you.

Try clearing your browser cache. If that doesn't work issue ipconfig /flushdns from a command prompt. If that doesn't work trying pinging gmail and if you can't resolve an IP address then it's most likely a DNS issue. In which case change your nameservers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and try again.

I thought that it probably was.

Cache made no difference.

No command 'ipconfig' found, did you mean:
Command 'tpconfig' from package 'tpconfig' (universe)
Command 'iwconfig' from package 'wireless-tools' (main)
Command 'ifconfig' from package 'net-tools' (main)
ipconfig: command not found

Pings OK.
Never mind, I'm heading off shortly, we'll see if I still have the same problem when I get back...

Try 'c:\windows\system32\ipconfig /flushdns'
If that works your PATH is set wrong.

Have a look at

Try 'c:\windows\system32\ipconfig /flushdns'

Thankyou, but I think that won't work: I don't have a c:\windows\... I've got a /mnt/win/, and I suppose that might work, but I'd be surprised.
Perhaps I should've mentioned I'm running linux, but I've never seen windows ask "did you mean..."

/sbin/ifconfig is roughly equivalent to Windows ipconfig but with more functionality.

Doesn't work with /flushdns argument though. Probably not DNS anyway.
