Google maps - problem

I've done several of these before on various sites but now I'm doing another one and it won't work. I get this pop-up message after the map shows:
"Google has disabled use of the Maps API for this application. The provided key is not a valid Google API Key, or it is not authorized for the Google Maps Javascript API v2 on this site. If you are the owner of this application, you can learn about obtaining a valid key here: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/v2/introduction.html#Obtaining_Key"

So my code works in terms of showing a map but then it tells me the key i'm using is not valid. Of course I have generated a new key but it doesn't seem to like it. Any ideas?

It does the same thing for both their script:

and mine:

Well, I found out the problem for myself in the end. When you sign up for a key you have to put in url(s) of the site(s) you want a map on. I'd put a '/' at the end of the url (like you do) and it was that that stopped it working.
So it does work now Laughing

Its only a test page and the map will be incorporated into the main site later.
By the way, the site is to promote my book (nearly finished now).
