Google Wave?Prompted by Calli's comment on the Second Life thread. What is it? What does it do? Is it worth it or is it just another social networking tool that sucks the life out of you? I've had an invitation from someone and joined; but don't know whether to go to the bother of finding how it works or not.

No-one uses chalk these days. You'd have to throw a projector. Then you'd get told off 'cos they cost a lot.

So long as comic sans, transitions and clipart aren't used, slideshows aren't too bad...

I never understand what's wrong with comic sans. I know it's supposed to be some huge faux pas, but why?

Because it's bloody horrible! It's got to be the worst typeface available as standard on most Windows PCs. It's simply overused by those who don't know what they're doing and have no design skills whatsoever, it's bad design and should not be used in any kind of professional or even close-professional context.
It doesn't make the user quirky or funny, has no relevance to comics and renders anything that uses it as a typeface unimportant, unprofessional and amateur.
So, if you want to appear as if you are clueless and wouldn't know good design if arrived in a box marked 'good design', use Comic Sans.
