GraylingHi folks,
With the Trout season coming to a close , i'll be out in search of the Grayling during the frosty autumn days.
Anybody ever eaten one?, i've caught a few and have some nearby rivers with a good head of fish so keep thinking about taking one for the pot

Only ever eaten one.
Not a bad taste, if a bit bland. Not at all muddy though, certainly worth a go if you are fishing a good clean bit of river. Beautiful fish, great fighter!

Hi M,
Yes, the River Tweed, they are great fighters especially on the fly rod

very tasty
it is a bit tricky to get them in fast and kindly
i favour a strong terminal and hook ,deep reach hauling on the line when it races nearer ,bit net shy
