Greenhouse opportunity?

I have an earth border in my greenhouse which hosts tomatoes, squashes etc in the summer. One corner is permanently damp (due to a leak) can I turn this to my advantage?

What edible plant/crop can I put undercover in the damp?

celery?

Maybe watercress or land cress if it's a bit shaded as well. Or forced rhubarb perhaps.

I will be interested to read any other suggestions, but this year I have a sweet potato in my dodgy greenhouse corner. I'll let you know how it compares to the other two I planted when I come to harvest in the next couple of weeks.

Cucumbers like high humidity, moist conditions.

I always grow my greenhouse cucumber in the area that's a bit shady with highest humidity. To keep the air humid around the cucumber during its peak growth, I water the leaves so they're soaking wet. Thats how cucumbers like it.

Becuase cucumbers climb, they can be put into a shady corner & they'll climb upwards out of it. My shady corner in the g/h has a shed on one side and a hedge on the other, so the cuc must push upwards to find the light, which it does easily.

They cant stand cold wet soil. The only time I've had a failure with the cucumbers is when I transplanted into cold damp ground too early in the season. I remidy this by delaying the transplant slightly until the greenhouse is nice and warm, and then transplanting into a little mound of compost about 6 inches tall
