Greenhouse repair...

Right. The 16 foot wooden greenhouse has several glass panes missing/broken, some quite big (as in full height). Now....what thickness of polywhozzit should we use to keep the repairs light but rigid. Is there a rule of thumb? The sites I've found online that sell the stuff are pretty unhelpful...

All plastic greenhouses use 4mm twin-wall polycarbonate.

We're replacing glass so I don't think we can cope with the thickness of twin wall. I was wondering if anyone had any experience of using the single sheet stuff. Basically is 4mm rigid enough to replace large(ish) panes of glass?
