greetings cards

I'm investigating producing some of my recent linocut prints as greetings cards and wondered if anyone could recommend a good quality print company who's willing to put a bit of effort into the job, as it's going to be critical for me that the colours are accurate.

I used to use Abacus, based in the Lakes but wouldn't mind a few others to compare prices/quality with.

I suppose it's a possibility. D'you think they'd be up to it?
Or were you just winding me up? Smile

I was thinking perhaps more of someone who specialised in cards.

Probs a card specialist would be best, but if you can't find one they might be able to help. A visit and a chat with them would be essential though.

Print the cards that we sell in The Plough. No idea if they'd be interested but there are contact details on their website.

will ask mum who does her's they are exact copies of her paintings as she does botanically correct so the colour has to be exact.

I know the guy does prints, cards etc and the cards come with envelopes and in cellophane.

will let you know.

Have you thought of printing them yourself, small Adana hand presses come up on Ebay often and sell for very little. You can't really beat the look of a hand printed card, IMHO Very Happy

I print cards using woodcut blocks on an old Heidelberg 10 x 15 platen press. Bit of a busmans holiday for me, as for my 'day job' I'm a Litho printer ! Just trying to keep the letterpress skills alive Wink

Now that is one workshop that I'd love to do Badgerface!
If ever you're thinking of running one Wink
