greetings from Norfolkhello everyone
just thought my first post should be an introduction. I'm female, approaching 30 waaay too quickly, and i live just outside Norwich with my boyf, 2 cats, 10 chickens and 4 goats. i love growing my own veg, cooking, pickling, preserving, homebrew and anything else connected to the Downsizer principles.
what a great wesbite this is. i'm going to get almost nothing done at work from now on, i can tell.

Hi Sparrow. Glad you could join us.
Tell us more about the goats. Do you milk or are they pets only?

Hi - good to have another East Anglian. Downsizer is populated by West Country/Welsh folk. Not that there is anything wrong with that - just a long way to visit!
What goats do you have?
Andrea.

such friendly forumers too! (is that a word?) thanks everyone

expensive pets! no, they are dairy goats. I keep them for milk/cheese/yoghurt and for the fun factor - they are funny creatures . One is a British Saanen (white goat) and one is a very noisy British Alpine (black and white goat). I also have two kids, one of which is destined to be burgers (ever tried goat meat? it's delicious!)
I'm relatively new to goat keeping - i've had my ladies for 7 months now. Are there many goat keepers on this forum?

Hmm. I know a few kids I wouldn't mind turning into burgers.
There are a few goaty people on here - have a poke in the poultry and livestock section if you haven't already.
