The chickens would love that!!no smilies
Woodruff. Spreads like wildfire. Takes from a tiny bit of root cutting. Lovely clusters of little white flowers that smell like marzipan if you dry them and nice leaf shapes.
Very easy to get rid of if you get tired of it. Very pretty from early spring to .... well, mine is still going.
There are any number of cheap, easy to propagate herbaceous plants & low growing shrubs.
Depends on your tastes & soil/aspect of the site.
Finding ones that are chicken proof will not be so easy.
If they don't enjoy eating them they will scratch them to death.no smilies
Re: Ground cover plantsI have a new large bank to cover with low growing plants.. does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could plant (I need a lot!) I thought of Sedum amongst others, but have read it is toxic to chickens?
