I have hatched some dirds out which apparently can somtimes be the hardest thing, there are bits and bobs about on the web i think feathersite has some info on these beasties, i have a small poultry run for mine to go in when off the heat but they apparently as keets need to be kept dry and mature at about 16 weeks.
I think they are not popular because of thier ugly heads and the noise but are good for guarding other birds . the cocks will fight with cock chickens so the need to be ranged separatly.
wormer dosing is as for fowl and not game birds and they will eat lots of bugs and therefor need a high protien game feed (20%) chick crumb will do as a stand by.
hope this helps alanb

If you can stand the terrible noise they make (often for no other reason than to **** you off ) they make good eating, but can take some catching, particularly if you keep them completely free range.

I would love some because I think they are really elegant birds - but unfortunatley all their other characterisitics prevent it until I get me that remote farmhouse in the hills
