Hello everyoneHello, I've just joined and thought I should introduce myself. 
We live on a smallholding near the top of a mountain in Carmarthenshire. We have a small goat herd that we keep for milk and meat, lots of chickens and ducks of various breeds, and quite a few other birds and beasts. Some of which are productive and some not.
Oh and we have just got our first two Tamworth weaners. 
We have a veg plot that needs improvement (that's a job for the piggies over the winter) and a tendency to build sheds out of old recycled pallets.
Apart from making things that might be nice to eat, I have no crafty skills to speak of (other than making haynets out of old baler twine).
We have joined to improve our knowledge of all things downsizery and maybe to pass on some of our knowledge to others.

Hmm... someone who keeps goats: who was asking about goat meat a few weeks ago? Cathryn?
We keep Tamworths: be prepared for a lot of fun from them! Followed by very tasty meat.
Are you coming to the mid-winter weekend? It's further up, in Montgomeryshire. There's a thread somewhere in Reviews and What's On, I think.

Hello and welcome from Carmarthen....have had goats on the farm but love my sheep...and have learnt lots over the years to have a go at all sorts of crafts...and there is a big craft in building with pallets...I love them...
Will not be having pigs again for a while at least since my son who helped me has gone to Uni.
