Hello from an oldieHi
I'm another Monty/Shropshire border resident. We have a 16 acre smallholding, I moved here in1986 when my first husband dumped me!  (best thing he ever did  ) We currently have, 2 goats, 2 ponies, about 25 chickens & 20 ducks, 3 dogs and 5 cats, oh and a ferret! I say we, I remarried in 2000. We are both now retired, but neither of us can envisage another way of life.

What a warm welcome, thank you! Yes this is a beautiful place, and yes sueshells it has been very very hard, I almost gave up at one point but no-one says "can't" to me and I dont regret a day of it. Now, I have a question but don't know where to post it, have any of you "moved" a smallholding? If someone will point me in the right direction to post, I will go into more details.

Welcome, I helped someone move out from a small holding once, it was like a military excercise but we left nothing behind, called in all the favours and moved goats chickens ducks pony dogs cat and three children...a long day but worth it.
