Hello from LondonHi all.
I've been a "lurker" for a while. I'm in the software industry (the grinder) and am looking for a better life. I live in Isleworth in South West London. I escape into the garden regularly to regain my sanity by growing veg (currently pumpkins, runners, swedes, tomatoes, shallots, beet, basil and spinach!). Considering a move elsewhere ASAP where I can have a decent sized garden and allotment!
Anyway hello!

Hello from a Londoner that doesn't live there any more. I like Isleworth, except its a bit too close to Hounslow for comfort!

Hello,
We used to live in various bits of SW London. Where are you thinking of moving to?

hello, welcome
I'm possibly your nearest DS neighbour, at least part-time when up attempting to earn a living working with photographers. Though normally the only time I see daylight here is when walking round Ravenscourt Park.
I've got a nice cottage for rent/sale in South Somerset, tiny garden but surrounded by allotments
Have you visited the Isabella Plantation across the river in Richmond Park? I hear it's lovely right now

Thanks for a warm welcome
in reply to a couple of people....
To Bebo... Hounslow - yes I agree it's a dump. One of the reasons I want to move is that the area is spilling over into Isleworth quite badly.
To Jamanda... thinking of moving to one of the nicer bits of Nottinghamshire (Beeston / Kimberley).
To yummersetter... Not been to the Isabella Plantation yet. Might investigate that when I get some time!

Used to work in the hospital and both children born there...its really worth making the most of the parks there until full time life can be enjoyed in the countryside.
good luck..left 13 years ago and no looking back

Born in North West London, now living in North London.
I'd class Isleworth as West London as it's North of the river

What have I done to deserve you. Just because I lived in West Sussex for 17 years. Pah!

Hello from another Londoner (SE, not SW). Used to work in your neck of the smoke - oh how I miss the M4 elevated section
I was a lurker for ages like you, but everyone's very friendly here!
Cheers,
Rob
