Hello from Portsmouth.Hello my name is Peter and I live just outside Portsmouth, I am very much a dreamer and would love to live out in the sticks and live as self sufficient as I could but finances won't allow me to buy anything more than a 3 bed house in town (£17500).
I have kept chickens, ducks and geese in the past and have a fond feeling for anything that can be produced cheaply.
I love the recipe section on these forums and will be trying out some soon.
I hope too have some good discussions with the many people on these forums.
Best Regards,
Peter the dreamer.

Welcome from another dreamer. My daughter goes to Uni at Portsmouth and I used to live in sunny Bognor.

Bonjour.
There are lots of places around the world where you could be rural for that kind of money!

And another bonjour from me. When I come to England I usually sail into Portsmouth.

We sail into Portsmouth like Green Rosie - and I had a niece at Portsmouth Uni!

Only when enough wild horses have been put in dragging position.
