Welcome to DS.
Hello! Your surprised face surprised me! An expanding veg plot may sound a bit overly grand? In my head it's a beautifully laid out kitchen garden complete with gravel/reclaimed brick pathways - a lovely stone walled garden where everything works in harmony and fits perfectly....
In reality I'm squabbling with the blackbirds for raspberry rights and wondering how to reinvigorate my flagging honeysuckle.
Ps no blackbirds were harmed in the making of my jam! I love them little feisty creatures, but also want some fruit for my crumble!

Your ideas are grand.
It's just my sense of humour.

Thank you everyone for a warm welcome!
Yep Rob, i agree, barn conversions seem to be all around I find, especially reading country-type magazines, but if your budget is a smidge lower!, then ex-councils are great in many ways as they often have more outdoor space than a new build, luckily for me ours has a decent square sized kitchen too, not trying to be smug here or anything!. Not as pretty as a cottage but a rose around the door maketh the house in my view!

Oh welcome by the way to the madhouse.

Welcome. May your honeysuckle prosper and may your vegetables grow. I hope mine will this year too after a complete failure last year.
