Hello from the Welsh BorderI have been reading some of the posts recently, so thought I had better delurk and sign up. We moved to the welsh borders last year. We live in a cottage not far from Welshpool. Over the past 6 months we have been gone from novice gardeners to having a garden and polytunnel full of lovely veggies. We don’t have any animals ourselves, but our toddler is really enjoying watching the cows in the field next to your house. We are really like the rural life, and it would be nice to meet up with anyone in the same area who shares similar interests. I have noticed there are quite a few downsizers in the montogomeryshire/Shropshire area, so hello!

And hello from the other side of Llanfyllin! I'll be in Welshpool market tomorrow, at the Country Market stall if you fancy popping in to say hello.
And buy cakes.
We're good at cakes.

Oy, you! No hat tomorrow: not tidy enough for market! Just a big green hair band, I expect.
And clothes, obviously.

And another welcome from right down the bottom of wales, glad you are enjoying your garden. A great time to share life with your toddler, they make it all the more special somehow. The wonder of it all through thier eyes is a real gift.
When you are ready Chickens are always a great start into the animal side of this way of life and without fail every little person who has visited the farm loved feeding them and collecting eggs.
