Hellooooooo!!!Hi there. I've just been reading lots of peoples introductions on here and thought that some of them sounded just like me!!
Well, here goes.....
I'm a Home Educating mum of 4 boys aged 2 to 13 living in Northamptonshire. I have a strong yearning to live the Good Life, and so we are blessed with 1 cockerel, 4 laying hens and at last count 11 chicken teenagers that we bred ourselves, 7 Quail, 1 duckling (also hatched ourselves and would like to hatch more) and a growing vegetable plot. My son has just acquired his first pony, we have a dog and a cat and a pond full of developing tadpoles and a few fish.
I would love a smallholding so that I could do more but am currently considering keeping a couple of Dairy goats at the end of our garden.....would appreciate ANY input on this idea!!! 
We also bake bread, make yoghurt and country wines (the best success has been Oak leaf...thank you Hugh FW!!) and recycle as much as possible. I'm interested in trying basket making and weaving.
I would also like to try living Off grid but that isn't going to happen at this house I think... a little cottage in Wales is calling, or even a house in Australia...I'll work it out one day!!
