help with ideasThere are a couple of things I am thinking of doing.
The first is turning the food group into a grocery delivery service - a little along the lines of a weekly organic veg box scheme.
The second is trying to sell needlefelt heads/figures.
Either way I am going to need a website, which means I am going to have to have a name.
I don't know whether or not to have one site - so that people from the food group will see the needlefelt (and vice versa) or whether to just start off with one thing (like the felt) and find a name that encompasses that and go from there.
Does that make sense?

they're very different businesses. Might be an idea to be separate websites as you'll be appealing to different customers?

It makes sense - have you looked at Sally's 'how many websites is enough?' thread? They are two very different things - perhaps two different-but-similar names and a link-back from one site to the other?

Making felted veg? share the sites.
Selling shrunk heads? share the sites - but host somewhere anonymous.
Selling veg and felt heads? separate.
imo. ymmv

Ok - so having read Sally's thread (doh how did I miss that ) I think concentrate on the felt and worry about food later...
(felted veg...hmmm I reckon I could do that )
I need a name I am Frewen just about everywhere and it alliterates with felt, The figures I can create are a little fantastical, and far out (I started another today and I've got a crone appearing from the wool)...
I've got nothing springing to mind

Vegheads, if you want something that can be linked to the food later perhaps?
Fibrefolk, if its all going to be little people?
Minimyths, if its all fantastical stuff?

Hmmm. I don't think that matters. Your target market isn't confined to people hanging around on internet forums is it? If you want to work it in to the name and can do so easily then go for it but don't get hung up on trying to fit it in. Arch alliteration's awful aid is not always a good thing IMHO.

I wouldn't choose a name that seems to limit the product - better to keep it generic so you can add new things as and when (IMO).

I'm going to be needlefelt - just decided leaves loads of scope and well I don't know - it does what it says on the tin
