Wine, my dear.
Or that that rum thing you do with the brown sugar and the pair of tights that ends up leaking all over the larder floor.

Pick them all, put them in a nice Downsizer bag (or bags) and give them all to your Mum as a 'thankyou' for courgette sitting.

Do you need courgettes for that or could you just throw rum and brown sugar around whilst wearing tights?

You can do whatever you like in the privacy of your own home.

Hmm. You could I suppose. But if you let it leak out slowly, IME it flows out under the door of the larder like a very slow tsunami and the dogs are p***ed when you come down in the morning .
Whatever takes your fancy, really.

I've been harvesting ours daily, and still managed to find a 2 footer that had been lurking unseen.

I haven't actually counted them - but I reckon there's a good few there. The rocket has lived up to its name too.

It's so wet here that a lot of mine are rotting off. And the cauliflowers are bolting.

Soup, and gallons of it by the sound of it.
It's amazing how courgettes can hide in the leafy undergrowth.I We pick every other day but a few have got away and become marrows even so. That's why my stockpot has been bubbling away with allotment soup all afternoon.

Just about managed to keep up with the courgettes (and have given loads away to visiting friends) but I hadn't checked the cucumbers for a while ...... so what can I do with 8 large cucumbers ?

Large cues = cucumber relish. Yummy: mix of cues, carrots, onions and peppers all grated and then cooked up with vinegar and sugar with various spices thrown in.
Courgettes/marrows: as dpack says, lovely stuffed or sliced and baked with cheese on top, or a good chutney. Also used with ginger for jam.

I've just baked a bread using courgette instead of apples. Worked really well, - tastes great. 400g courgette to 600g wheat, 100g oates and 250g wheat leaven.
