T'incers girl

Hi from Lancashire

Hi guys

Found this site whilst browsing for friendly and unusual brewing info and it's perfect for us

T'incer and myself have a 5 year plan which will culminate (hopefully) in almost total self sufficiency
So we are in the planning stage, we grow some of our own food (very very small plot) i reuse and recycle as much as possible, buy local etc, i'm researching livestock possibilities, cheesemaking and looking for the land we dream of, whilst honing my brewing, cooking, preserving, foraging and needlework (and crafty stuff) skills.
T'Incer is all about renewable energy and sis tudying for several qualifications in engineering and outdoor skills etc

This site seems full of like minded peoples and i'm looking forward to reading lots and contributing bits (i'm not the best writer)

Thanks for existing....yay for the future Laughing Laughing Laughing

THanks for all the welcomes guys
I spent a good few hours browsing the site last night (on the nightshift) blimey you lot know what you're doing, I fear some of our questions my be a bit basic on some subjects, but I'm sure you don't mind Laughing

anyhow I've just made a sloe pudding (jam sponge stylee) as Im figuing out what to do with several jars of unset pure sloe jam/ jelly. The way t'incer is strutting round with a purple stained spoon tells me it's passed the test, yaaaay

Thanks again
Jamanda

I'd try boiling a bit longer.

I'd usually add an apple or two to the sloes to help get a set, or a 1lb of crabapple s
