I was getting a flood error on the main site earlier, now getting a general Joomla site error, yes.

No, it shouldn't exist after installation (you have to delete it before you can see the site), it's the error message you receive when you've just installed and try to access the site.
It doesn't look as though they are there for DS though either, the error message can sometimes be thrown up by mistook. I'm sure Jema is on to it

All of it was security updates, there was a little ownership issue borking things on some of the 20 odd sites I was doing.
