yes I have my own copy, given to us by the grand daughter/ grand niece of the author.
Its a lovely book, especially when read in the sun on the patio.... easier to imagine living in the med.
as for usefulness, its not exactly a how to book, but you do get a good impression of how food is really a part of the fabric of society in these countries. for me the pleasure was more subtle than learning something new, it kind of percolated through to my bones...
