Hot water tank problem

Since we had the new stove put in there's hot water going to the tank but we can't get it out. When we turn a tap it draws water back down from the header tank. A short burst of hot sometimes but not enough for anything!

Any ideas?

Airlock in the hot supply?

Try connecting the cold water water tap to the hot with a hose open both, The cold water pressure should force water and air out of the hot water expansion into the header tank and remove any air locks.

Only do this briefly and gently though as the overflow may not be capable of handling the surge into the header tank and your hot water tank.

my first thouht was airlock ,might be worth linking a bit of hose from the cold mains tap to the hot tap and open both taps to flush the pipe for air .
