How much for a 3 year old saddleback sow?Wonder if you can help, I am thinking of selling my saddleback sow, she is 3 years old and in good condition weight wise. Any ideas roughly how much I should be asking for her.

is she registered and/or in pig? Is she well marked? Does she have large litters? Is she a careful mum?

Going simply on her weight, there will be a bare minimum that she's worth to the pieman as a cull sow. From what you say, she should be worth quite a bit more than that but at least its a starting point for negotiation.

Good point bodger, current average price here this week was 73.8p per kg, which is £185 for a 250kg sow.
