How much insulation do you have in your loftOK it might be a bit odd to ask that now that the weather has become so unseasonably hot. But this follows on from this and this

100mm of standard fibreglass, but I’m not happy with the quality… but nowt I can do about it until I sort out getting access to the other half of my attic (thanks to little thought having been put into placing the hot water header tank on the end of the huge chimney stack effectively blocking off access).
Yes, I live in the house of botch! I think I've get my weekends mapped out for life with DIY repairs...

I'm genuinely not sure how much we have, we know there is insulation up there, but the loft is a bit anti people crawling around in it, the ceilings tend to bend alarmingly, so we clearly need serious crawl boards when we do eventually have a proper look. So far I've relied on how long snow stays on the roof in the winter when the heating is on, and that indicates the insulation is at the least functionally adequate, evcen if it could probably be improved on

Well, that's the problem: we can't get into the loft to see because there are bats up there - it's one of those cyclic things. And the loft is very small.
