I'm so glad this board is here

Was it before? I haven't been on in a few months - is The Apiary new? I don't remember noticing it before. Regardless, I've been watching the bee-keeping series on Country Pursuits on the Rural TV channel and I'm definitely being nipped by this bee-keeping bug. Anyone else watched that series by Bill Turnbull? Just trying to turn hubby's mind round to my way of thinking on this subject. It's something we discussed and thought we'd like to get into when we first moved here 15 years ago. I think I'm ready now to take this on but he needs convincing still. Now I have to go back and read all the posts on this board.

I think it was Sean who reshuffled and sorted some of the topics, because lumping everything into one topic, was getting v large and complicated. So now poultry and apiary have their own places.
I did not see those programmes. I discarded tv a few years ago, so I have more time to do things now Very Happy
I have built a top bar hive (with help), just waiting for a swarm. 'I've put a home made bait hive on a flat roof too. Join your local club/assn., it is essential imho.
There are some clever beeks on here, (not me!) reading back will be informative. Good luck.

It wasn't me. Wink Treacodactyl set it up and he, Jamanda, Alison and I among others moved the threads.

Sorry Embarassed

It's much better, anyway.

That's fine. I just wanted to make sure that everyone who did the work got the credit. And I agree that it's much better. Smile
