I think I've seen the future and..... it stores 8 gig in a 6mm thick credit card, with a usb interface.
$149 (£100?) next month. ($99 for a 4 gig version.)

Would anyone like some floppy disks?

Looks very useful. How reliable are these items? I bought a small 128mb key for moving files between PCs and it became corrupted withing a few weeks of use and, even after formatting, could only see 10mb.

Nice
With those sorts of capacities, the feasability of carrying around, not just your data, but your PC "personality" becomes feasable, albeit not with windoze.
I guess the bloatware of today would also work against it.
It does make it annoying, as I remember my first PC had loads of space disk space on its 100mb hard drive which was large for the time.
Something is well wrong when 80x that space is considered limited.

That's a country mile away from when I first wrote software and we had an inhouse challenge to write the most useful software possible in 256bytes!
