I've grown my own lizards!

Or should this be under livestock?

Cool. Are these pet lizards or just ones that happen to live in your garden?

Just the wild ones that happen to live in the allotment (still suprised when I see them as until I came to my allotment, I'd never seen lizards in the UK)

I assume they don't do any harm...

Why the flattening woodsprite?
Treacodactyl

I expect they do more good than harm. Almost as cute as a handful on baby slow-worms.

It refers to a very embarrassing find that I made whilst cleaning one day. I have a tiled floor with a large rug that rarely gets moved, well I am a domestic slut member! I lifted the edges of the rug to sweep on this particular day and found a very flat newt/lizard. The poor thing must have snuck in through the french doors and hidden under the rug only to be squashed flat Embarassed . It had been there some time when I found it Embarassed Embarassed

Easily filed though. Under n for newt or f for flat...

I saw one on my allotment the other day too!

I think it must be a good year for them : )

I met a baby lizard the other day hiding amongst the strawberry plants. We had quite a long chat.

Did see a slow worm going quite fast the other day: it was in the beak of our cockerel... He did share it with his friends though.
Andrea

Our hens had quite a big snake this morning, and belted around the garden with it for a good ten minutes. Fabulous fun! I've never seen them with one before.
