dottyspots

I've not been around muchFeeling rather guilty for not checking these forums much (been really, really busy!)
Anyway, I've been making a few of these recently:
Out of stash yarn in an attempt to clear some space. I'm on to a crocheted hobby horse now (which has been some interesting shaping as I'm very new to crocheting).

hi dotty! cool doll - looks like she's wearing a marigold-petal frock

She's supposed to be a buttercup faery, but I didn't pay a huge amount of attention to shape of petals. You're right, they're more marigold than buttercup.

I'm on a stash-busting mission (as the stash is rather taking over the house now) and little dolls are handy for using up odds and ends of sock yarn. The hair is boucle mohair (not a yarn I really ever use, but these sort of things sometimes appear amongst everything else - it's an old Natural Dye Studio yarn, I don't think Amanda dyes it anymore).
Atleast they have happy recipients here. I've been working on a dollshouse doll in the round, just need to give him some hair (my youngest son was getting a bit fed up with all the faeries and mermaids appearing and wanting something that could drive a truck - not that a faery couldn't, but he wanted a boy doll).
Anyway, I need to go and stop him from pulling pieces off a cooling loaf
