You should be able to simply create the banner and upload it somewhere, then type the link into your profile.
Your last one was uploaded to the DS gallery IIRC and it's a gif. A jpg would be fine, probably better, and it needs to be 468px × 60px.

As Treac says, make a jpeg or gif of 468 x 60 pixels (*1), and upload it to DS (*2) and paste the link into the "Trading Banner" field in your profile (second section down, sixth field).
*1 The image must be exactly of those dimensions. If yours isn't quite right, post it in this thread and someone will adjust it for you.
*2 Create a dummy PM, use the 'attach file' thingy to upload to DS and get the link, then chuck away the un-sent PM.

Cheers BA - I'll have a play sometime soon. It would be nice to have a picture of the gite actually finished rather than the hay barn that it still was in the current banner!
