Inkle Loom needs helpI'm just throwing this out there in case anyone can help.
I recently went to the Gower Heritage Centre where they have a weaving, spinning and dying exhibition room and demonstrations. Naturally, I went to see the demo and had a long chat afterwards to the girl who was doing the demon.
It turned out she has an inkle loom there but they are having real problems getting it to work properly and don't know where to get any help with it.
I've tried contacting a friend of mine who lives in Swanseaand has experience with using an inkle loom but she hasn't got back to me yet and I'm not sure if she has got my message.
I just wondered if there were any Downsizers who either live in or around Swansea and would be inclined to help them out and give them some advice.
I don't really know much about inkle looms so I couldn't help but I did say I'd see if I could find someone who did and could.

I know that there were people who could use them in the Spinners,Weavers and Dyers Guild I used to go to. Have they tried there?

The girl I spoke to did mention the Guild but I'm not sure how much contact they have had with them.
I was kind of hoping there might be someone living nearby who knew enough about Inkle looms to be able to help them.

I can't help, but I just love the name 'inkle loom' and want one just so I can have an excuse to say it! Inkle loom, inkle loom, inkle loom.

there shouldnt be too much to go wrong with an inkle loom, most are just a set of pegs on which you tension the warp,the rest is up to the user. Any idea what style loom it is? there are a few different inkle type ones.
