InterFlushI've just fitted, to our flushing toilet, an InterFlush water saver. This device interupts the siphon so the toilet flushes only while you hold the handle down giving you variable flush volumes. Works great, Cost me £17 at CAT but available here http://www.interflush.co.uk/

Yep, it's pretty good once you've remembered that you're responsible for how long you flush
Probably more effective than the half or full flush option?

Flushing the bog is is huge water use in most households.
At one time we lived in a house with no flush toilet, working on a bucket and chuck it on the compost heap system, in the outside loo. It worksed perfectly - we also had "pee bucket" incase it was needed in the night.
Now we live in the lap of luxury with TWO flush loos - but we try to minimise the number of tims they are flushed. Firstly we have flush for solids only rule. And then if there is water in the bath (shared water) we also use that to flush the loo.
Appart from the environmental side of things, that gadget sounds like it could save you pennies if you are on a water meter.

We've got one - bought it six months ago (after Dougal waxed lyrical about them!) and just getting round to fitting it.

I was worried that our siphon cap had embossed writing which I thought may affect the seal. I dropped them an email on Sunday and got a personal response within an hour from the MD. Very impressed. My worries were unfounded.
